Sometimes as a parent, you just need to tell your children “no”. However, I just couldn’t do it. I should of, but I couldn’t.
You see, for the last couple of years, I have fixed Ruthie’s hair for Valentine’s Day.
She had asked if I could fix it just like I did last year –
a hugs and kisses hairdo.

I worked today, which means we all had to rise earlier than usual. However, I didn’t want to disappoint, Ruthie – especially not on Valentine’s Day.
Over the weekend, we had a brand new security system installed.
We had a very busy weekend. We had multiple places to be on both Saturday and Sunday. It seemed we came in the house and unloaded, just to turn around and head out the door again. And as if that wasn’t enough, in between running to various different events, I attempted to decorate a couple of birthday cakes (which I hope to do a post on soon, IF I have time).
A few weeks ago, I signed, Owen, up for swim lessons. As I filled out the registration form, I had to chuckle to myself.
The form required me to indicate what level, Owen, is currently at. There were several different categories to choose from. The skill level varied from beginner to advanced. Owen, falls somewhere in the middle, hence, the need for lessons.
As I debated as to which level best described, Owen, I couldn’t help, but to smile.
